Michael E. Holland, 61, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Tues., Sept. 30, 2014 at HPH Hospice in Lecanto. A native of Columbus, OH, he was born March 25, 1953 to Frank and Helen (Hardesty) Holland, one of six children, and grew up in nearby Lancaster, Ohio. He moved to Homosassa three years ago from Palm Harbor and had lived in Homosassa previously for seven years. Michael was a transportation and fleet supervisor for F & F Productions of Largo, Florida, a career that he thoroughly enjoyed, as it enabled him to travel the United States. He formerly attended the Palm Harbor United Methodist Church and is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Shirley Holland of Homosassa; his three children: Kelley Britton, Homosassa Springs; Rod Britton (wife Patricia), Spring Hill, FL; and Shauna Christiansen (husband Richard), Crystal River, FL; sister Betty Miller, Lancaster, OH; brothers Kenneth Specht, Logan, OH and Wilmer “Bud” Findley, of the Lancaster and Logan, OH area and grandchildren Jessica Britton, Homosassa Springs; Corey and Samantha Britton, Spring Hill; Trea and Chance Holland and Jude, Linkin and Karly Christiansen, all of Crystal River. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Raymond. A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa.
