Mary E. Savage, 71, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast Hospice House, Lecanto, FL. A native of Elizabeth, NJ, she was born Jan. 12, 1944 to Charles, Sr. and Mary (Ford) Taylor, one of two children. Mary was a certified nursing aid and served at the Key Training Center, but also spent 15 years at Woolworth’s in Beachwood, NJ as a clerk and stock employee. Mrs. Savage moved to Lecanto in 1991 from Pine Beach, NJ and in 2005, after the passing of her husband Leonard, she moved to Statesville, NC, and moved to Beverly Hills in 2011. She was a member of the Seniors Club, Statesville, NC, and was talented and gifted in the art of crochet. Mary loved her family, her grandchildren, and loved working in her yard. She was a parishioner of St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, but also attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills. She is survived by her four children; Lindaanne Savage and Peter Savage, both of Inverness, FL; Phillip Savage (wife Jennifer), Statesville, NC and Stanley Savage (wife Kelley), Citrus Springs, FL and two grandchildren, Rayeanne and Ethan Savage of Citrus Springs. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Leonard H. Savage, Jr. on Jan. 9, 2004 and her brother, Charles Taylor, Jr. Friends will be received on Wed., May 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 10:30 AM from St. Scholastica Catholic Church, Lecanto with Fr. James Johnson, Celebrant.
