Mary K Baird

Born November 19, 1947 in Burlington, IA. She was the daughter of Bruce and Anita Davis Baird. She was a graduate of Mediapolis High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, IA and her Master of Arts from the University of South Florida. She was a Spanish teacher in Iowa. After moving to Florida she worked at the Kapok Tree in Clearwater. Then she spent several years as an optometric technician, and her final two decade career was as a counselor at the College of Central Florida. She enjoyed music, crafts, traveling and fun times with family and friends in retirement.

Surviving are brothers Bruce W. Baird of Mediapolis and Alan J. Baird of Sperry, Iowa. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sisters Rebekah Ann Smith and Julie Anita Baird. She is survived by 12 nephews and nieces.

A private memorial service was held in Homosassa, Florida on January 30th, 2023.
