My sister Marlene was a blessing to all who knew her. She was a teacher that never stopped helping people learn. She freely shared intellectually and financial. She ate healthy and exercised, on a regular basis. Marlene studied scripture and praised God daily. When Marlene lost her husband Ray (the love of her life) she was truly saddened but knew they would be together again in eternity. That time could not come soon enough for her and has now happened, as they are once again in each other's company. I already miss our phone conversations and the cheerfulness in her voice. I ended many of our phone calls with see ya soon sis. So, see you soon sis. Love you Jim 

Marlene was my musical companion in our Citrus Strings Orchestra.  I found her to be a gifted, talented, and giving lady.  I will miss her smile and friendship.  Thank you Marlene for being a part of my life.  Fred Abeles 

The members of Citrus Strings  are very grateful to have been able enjoy the music and warmth of Marlene Frey in our ensemble.
She was a beautiful and caring violinist that has filled our hearts with her joy over the years.  She was always ready to help the group and her happiness sharing God's message of eternal Love was the cornerstone of her life and music.


Over 50 years ago Marlene and I met at the teacher lounge's refrigerator in Pleasant View School, Franklin Wi, planning to pray weekly after school for family and school needs.  I still have many notebooks of praises, petitions to our Lord from those gatherings.  Barb (nee Wassink) Huber also joined us.  A favorite phrase Marlene encouraged us with  was, "Keep your chin on the window sill of heaven."  This prayer gathering, with Barb Huber and other godly women NOW meet monthly near Grace Lutheran Church, Oak Creek, Wi, thanks to Marlene's spiritual leadership.
Marlene, and her beloved husband Ray were so very generous to us and our family with godly books to encourage our faith.  They were our youngest son Mark's godparents, now reunited in heaven with Jesus. We will sorely miss our conversations but know that dear Marlene is profoundly delighted in the presence ofJesus, worshipping along side Ray and other loved ones.  Hugs of comfort to  her dear family during this time of missing Marlene this side of heaven.  Margie and Wally Spaeth




Marlene and I played together in Citrus Strings.   She sure loved her hymns!   Marlene was a warm, caring person that always made everyone feel appreciated.  I will miss very much.    Condolences to her family and other friends.
