Karl Wolf, 77, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Tues., March 18, 2025. Karl was a retired hospital administrator in hospitals around the United States, a career he enjoyed for many years. He had served as vice president, and headed up Human Resources and often other departments as well. Upon his arrival in Homosassa 18 years ago, Karl established his own consulting company, lending his expertise in human resources to hospitals in other states and also earned his realtor license and worked for Exit Realty in Crystal River. Karl earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Lawrence Technological Institute in Michigan and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, focusing on healthcare administration and Human Resources Management. Karl, along with his beloved wife Kathy, lived in a number of states, but the state closest to Karl's heart was Michigan, where he grew up and worked for many years. Recently Karl could be seen watching live streams of the Great Lakes, watching ship traffic. During his college days, he was a member of the Ski Club and also a member of the Ski Patrol, aiding skiers in distress on the slopes. Mr. Wolf was a member of several professional organizations relating to his life's work and was a Member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa, where he was a faithful parishioner, and Lector. During his life, Karl enjoyed exercising, running, swimming, biking, sailing, reading, cooking, gardening and eating; especially breakfast. Spending time with all of his family would be Karl’s perfect day. He was a devoted husband of over 51 years, and a devoted father and grandfather. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Paul Wolf; mother-in-law and father-in-law Marjorie and Raymond Doran, and brother-in-law David Doran. He is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years, Kathy Wolf, Homosassa; son Christian Wolf (wife Holly), Lakeland, FL and daughter Colleen Vinson (husband Bill), Land O' Lakes, FL, and grandchildren Tabitha and Tim Vinson, both of Land O' Lakes, FL and Luke Wolf, Lakeland, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thurs., March 27, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 7040 South Suncoast Blvd, Homosassa, with Fr. J. Glenn Diaz, Celebrant.
