Judith Norwood

Judith Denise Norwood, 75, of Brooksville, Florida, was called home by God the Father on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at her home. A native of Queens, New York, she was born March 7, 1949 to John and Maybelle (Metzger) Norwood. Miss Judy, as she was lovingly referred to by many, was a full time resident of the Gondolier Group Home through The Arc Nature Coast for 40 years. While in their care, she became a very significant part of the the Arc family, and she was known and loved by many. Judy would spend her days during the week at the ADT Enrichment Center. On the weekends, she enjoyed listening to music, watching TV with her housemates, and flipping through magazines. She loved sitting outside in the fresh air when the weather permitted. Miss Judy was a playful woman and often made her housemates and the staff laugh. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with and will most assuredly be missed by all who knew her. Miss Judy was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brother, Jeffrey D. Norwood of Arizona and a niece, Janice Percell of Georgia; as well as all of her dear friends at the Gondolier Group Home and The Arc Nature Coast. A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at Fountains Memorial Park, 5635 West Green Acres St., Homosassa, FL 34446. Services entrusted to Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida.
