Janice Marie Little

Janice Marie Little, 80, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River, Florida. A native of Cherryvale, Kansas, she was born July 21, 1936 to George and Vera (Cole) Claiborne. Janice was a lifelong homemaker but also served as a nursing home CNA during her life. She moved to Homosassa 15 years ago from Gulfport, Florida, where she had lived for 40 years. Mrs. Little was a member of Suncoast Baptist Church, Homosassa, Florida and loved to sew and crochet and was an avid card player. Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, John E. Little, Jr., on Sept. 23, 2005; her sons Michael and Jon Little and a son-in-law, Steve Segura. She is survived by her children Teresa J. Hunter (husband John), Homosassa, FL; Sandra Little, Pennsylvania; Grace Dampman (husband Bob), Dunnellon, FL and Catherine Segura, Homosassa, FL; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, as well as a sister, Judy Rasco (husband Bill) of Texas. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Suncoast Baptist Church, Homosassa, Florida with Pastor Tom Couric officiating.
