Jan Boyce Fisher, 69, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away in his home on Saturday, July 30, 2016. He was born in Milford, Utah, on May 10, 1947, to Ira Mitchell Fisher and Mary Elizabeth (Terry) Fisher, one of seven children. After living in Utah, California, Massachusetts and Kansas, he and his wife made Crystal River their home over 20 years ago. Jan worked for many years as a truck driver and dispatcher before retiring. Jan served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Medal. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved his family, loved to laugh and would often joke, “Life is short, eat dessert first!” He is survived by four children, Allen Fisher, Bethany Haskins (husband Michael), Kimberly Johanson (husband Benjamin), and Brian Fisher (wife Jessica); sisters Terry Judy and Shelley Livingston; brothers Tim Fisher and Bart Fisher; grandchildren, Charissa, Natosha, Jared and Anthony Fisher; Leiha, Mikaela, Natalee, Olivia and Paige Haskins and Jayson and Trenton Johanson, great grandchildren, Xoe, Bailey, Carter, and Riley Narron and Amore and Allena Stevens. In addition to his mother and father, Jan was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth (Foss) Fisher; two brothers, Michael Fisher and Robert Fisher; and two grandchildren, Theodore and George Johanson. A memorial service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 3 2016, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3474 W. Southern St., Lecanto, FL 34461.
