Harry G. Bandemer, 97, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Fri., Oct. 18, 2024 at Aspire of Spring Hill, Spring Hill, FL. A native of Baltimore, MD, he was born May 31, 1927 to Kurt and Deanie (Schlesinger) Bandemer, one of three children. Harry served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Navy during World War II, attaining the rank of Yeoman Second Class Petty Officer. Mr. Bandemer continued his government service to his country as a certified public accountant with the Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, DC. Harry moved to Homosassa 30 years ago from Maryland and pursued his love of golf as a member of Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club. Harry was a regular attendee of Homosassa Seventh-day Adventist Church. He also loved playing baseball and was an avid government records researcher, enjoying all documents both printed and saved. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bandemer was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn; son Harry Jr.; and sisters, Selma and Ruth. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Helen Bandemer of Homosassa. Friends will be received on Thurs., Oct. 31, 2024 from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa, where a funeral service will commence at 10:30 AM.
