Frances Josephine Conger

Frances Josephine Conger, 86, of Weeki Wachee, Florida, passed away on Sat., Oct. 10, 2015 at Spring Oaks Assisted Living in Brooksville, Florida. A native of Dallas, Texas, she was born April 10, 1929 to George and Katie Lee (Willis) McFerren, one of four children. A lifelong homemaker, Frances moved to Tampa, Florida in 1997 from Ft. Smith, Arkansas, but also spent time in Spring Hill, Florida. She had also lived in Missouri for 25 years during her life. Mrs. Conger was a member of First Christian Church, Brooksville, Florida and also attended the First Baptist Church of Weeki Wachee Acres. Frances is survived by her daughter, Kathy Weaver (husband Michael), Weeki Wachee, Florida; brother George McFerren, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Salina, Joel, Angelia, Michael and Stephen and great grandchildren Marisa, Demetrius, Maya and Blake, as well as a very dear friend, Mary “Penny” Martin. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Orville Conger in 1978; a son, Stephen Conger in 1989; siblings Andrew McFerren and Lucille Barrett; and a dear friend, Wanda Collins.
