Eugene Keith Morrow

Eugene Keith Morrow, 70, of Lecanto, FL, passed away Mon., April 12, 2021 in Lecanto. A native of Steubenville, OH, he was born July 27, 1950 to Mary (Snopka) and Eugene Morrow. Mr. Morrow moved to Citrus County in 1984 from Toronto, OH, by way of a brief residence in Dover, NH and enjoyed a long career as a computer specialist and instrument technican in steel manufacturing and public utilities. His gifted talents in computer science were honed in his formative professional years with Weirton Steel in West Virginia, which included serving as Instrument Technician. His position with Weirton Steel led him to future employments with Florida Power, Progress Energy, and Duke Energy, including multiple sites at the Crystal River Power Plant in Crystal River, FL. His most recent position in his professional field of expertise was Implementation Specialist contractor for Duke Energy power plant projects. Eugene also operated a computer sales and service business from home and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Morrow loved computers and gadgets of all kinds, for work and fun. He liked to take road trips back to Ohio and around the country. His troubleshooting skills extended from work to issues around the house. He built or managed the building of multiple houses. He liked science fiction books and movies. Eugene is survived by his children Brad of Morrisville, NC and Lindsay Vani, Hubert, NC and his siblings Gail of Weirton, WV and Janine (husband Doug) of Lewisville, TX.
