Dennis Roland Boese, 75, of Homosassa, FL, passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday, March 31, 2023 at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, FL. A native of Oshkosh, WI, he was born Aug. 22, 1947, the only child of Herman and Marie (Verhoeven) Boese. Dennis was a retired industrial sales representative for various factories and industries, specializing in safety equipment. Dennis earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He moved to Homosassa 18 years ago from Green Bay, WI and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, as well an avid racing fan, especially Formula One racing. He loved spending much of his time on any body of water, in many types of boats, including sailboats, pontoons and kayaks. He was also a classic car enthusiast and was a member of the Saab Club in Tampa, FL and the Touch of Class Corvette Club in Citrus County. Mr. Boese was a member of yacht clubs in Wisconsin and was also a freelance writer with his focus being destinations of the Great Lakes, as well as being an avid snow skier. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his four beloved dogs: Molly, Himmer, Cincinatti and Jake. Mr. Boese is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Dyane R. Boese of Homosassa. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Canine Companions or any charity that caters to the care and welfare of animals.
