David John Gregory, 71, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Wed., Nov. 10, 2021 at UF Health The Villages Hospital, The Villages, FL. A native of Whiting, VT, he was born May 30, 1950 to Bernard and Rita (Bertrand) Gregory, one of two children. David earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Castleton University, Castleton, VT, as member of the Class of 1977 and moved to Citrus County that year. Dave then established Liberty Taxi, Stagecoach and Courier, the only taxi service located in West Citrus County at the time. Mr. Gregory’s favorite pastimes in his life were CB radios, playing pool, ping pong and horseshoes. David was also an avid harmonica player and authored his own blog and podcast. He was also a retired field property appraiser for Citrus County with 14 years of service and also ran for election to Property Appraiser and County Commissioner. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his sister, Fern. David is survived by his loving wife, Corl Gregory of Homosassa; children James Gregory (Jennifer), Zac Gregory (Lynn) and Rebekah Lloyd (Ronan), all of Homosassa; grandchildren Mark, Nathan, Emily, Zachary II, Natalie, Colton, Matasyn, Anzli, Harmony and Arya and great grandchildren Wyatt, Finn, Charlie, Kamden and Gracie, with two more great grandchildren on the way. Friends will be received on Tues., Nov. 16, 2021 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, with a Catholic Prayer Service at 5:00 P.M. officiated by Fr.
