Betty Anne Creel

Betty Anne Creel was born February 6, 1932 and went home to be with the Lord on April 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Percy. She is survived by children Robert (Natalie) Creel, Jim (Debbie) Creel and Steve (Millie) Creel along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. If you knew Betty, you loved her! She spoke often of growing up as a " cowgirl", riding horses and working on the farm. Betty drove a school bus for many years in Defuniak Springs as well as here in Citrus County. She was the school bus with no governor that would pass you like you were sitting still -saying my kids aren't gonna be late. After retiring from Citrus County Schools she bred and raised numerous champion chihuahuas. Even legally blind Betty was self sufficient and lived on her own. She loved her therapists and others that helped her with ensuring she had the strength to maintain her home and work in her flowers and of course ride around on her scooter. Betty lived a full life and was an example of what we all should be in her Christian walk with God. Friends will be received on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida, where a Celebration Of Life will commence at 11:00 A.M.
