Alvilda Roldan

Alvilda Roldan, 89 of Spring Hill, Florida died on Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born on Friday, November 5, 1926 to Pedro and Epifania (Santiago) Roldan in Puerto Rico. Alvilda was of the Catholic faith and her joy in life was cooking for her family and friends.

Alvilda was preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Velez, Sr. and by her son, Manuel Velez.

Survivors include her sons, Carmelo Velez and wife Penny of Homosassa, Florida; Albert Velez of Brooklyn, New York, Ralph Velez of Spring Hill, Florida and Ignacio Velez, Jr. of Spring Hill, Florida; daughters, Carmen Hoyos and husband Tony of Brooklyn, New York, Juana Aragon and husband Billy of Brooksville, Florida, Lucy Bastasich and husband Joseph of Brooksville, Florida, Milagros Velez of Syracuse, New York and Fanny Stasio and husband Joseph of Homosassa, Florida; brother, Ralph Lucena and wife Rose of Homosassa, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visitation, Monday, September 12, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wilder Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Graveside Service will follow at Fountains Memorial Park.
