Albert Raymond Alexander, Jr., 85 of Homosassa died Thursday, Dec. 2nd, 2010 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, FL Born October, 22nd, 1925 in Campton, KY and moved to Homosassa in 1991 from Hazard, KY. He was a retired District Supervisor for the State of Kentucky, Department of Mining and Minerals. Albert was a Christian and member of the First Baptist Church of Homosassa. His hobbies were mowing, boating, and antique cars. A member of the Citrus County Cruisers, Citrus A’s club, Buick Club of America, Florida Packard Club, a Kentucky Colonial, and was a driver for the Riverhaven crime watch.
In addition to his parents Albert R. and Dovie (Reynolds) Alexander he was preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth Alexander; son A. R. Alexander; brothers Roger and Alden Alexander.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Donna A. Alexander of Homosassa; daughter Teresa and her husband John Fowler of Homosassa; granddaughter Laura Padfield of Homosassa; 2 great-grandchildren Trey McCoy Fowler and Destiny Joyce Anne Padfield; and grand-dog Lizzie.
Friends will be received from 2 p. m. until 4 p. m., Sunday at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Hazard, KY.
