Walter H. Doyle, Jr., 73, of Wellington, Florida, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, June 12, 2014. He was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He moved to Wellington with his family in 1980 to continue his career in banking which began as Vice President and Controller of Central Bank in Birmingham. He was Senior Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer at First National Bank in Palm Beach and later became Director of Operations at Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart law firm. He graduated from the University of Alabama and loved the Crimson Tide. The happiest moments of his life were spent with his family. He was a gentle giant and master storyteller among friends and family. He will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known him. Walter is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kay (Robertson), daughters Melissa (Scott) Kimball, Stephanie (Eric) Roads, son Jason (his best friend and fishing buddy), his three beloved grandchildren, Cole, Abbey, & Savannah, and sisters, Sandra Aderholt & Dianne Fox. He was predeceased by his parents, Neva & Walter Doyle, Sr. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, Alabama with graveside services at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. -
