Sue Tsimpides

Sue Tsimpides, age 94, of Birmingham, died on July 7, 2018. She was life long resident of Birmingham and a graduate of Phillips High School and worked in retail management. A loving mother and grandmother, she was devoted to her family. Mrs. Tsimpides was member of Holy Trinity- Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lycurgas (Cootie) Tsimpides; parents, Mr and Mrs. Louis Cosmas from Macedonia, Greece and sister, Kate Cosmas.

Left to cherish her memory are children, George Tsimpides, Leon Tsimpides (Debbie), Dorothy Tsimpides Carlisle (Terry) and Anita Tsimpides. She is also survived by her grandchildren; George Tsimpides, Jr, Stephanie Tsimpides, Dionne Morgan (Jarett), Lian Tsimpides, Adam Carlisle, Matthew Carlisle (Jamie) and Zac Harrington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10:00 at Holy Trinity-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral followed by Trisagion and funeral at 11:00. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Holy Trinity - Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 307 19th Street South, Birmingham, Al 35233.
