Sue Jones Pearson, age 79 of Homewood, passed away on July 16, 2023. She was born September 10, 1943 to the late Edgar and Ester Jones in Rome Georgia. Sue graduated from Samford University with a major in History and a master’s in Education. She was a long time member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Dawson Choir. Sue enjoyed her volunteer work at The Learning Center and being a member of the Birmingham Chapter of the American Sewing Guild.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James Pearson. She is survived by her sons and their families Mark Pearson and his wife Karen Kennedy Pearson and David Pearson and his wife Rena Pearson and their 2 daughters Emma Pearson and Sarah Pearson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, July 27th beginning at 1:00 pm.
