Ronald Charles Denson of Birmingham died January 22, 2012, at the age of 73. He was born in Double Springs, AL on November 27, 1938. He was the son of the late R.C. and Mildred Boteler Denson. He is survived by his wife Velma Lott Denson and sisters Rachel Freeman and Linda Worley. He is also survived by his daughters, Cathy Barrington, Nina Williams and Becky Mantooth, and seven grandchildren. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Cumberland Law School. After working as an agent for the IRS for over 10 years, he opened a private accounting practice where he served his clients faithfully for 35 years. He was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, AL. Visitation will be at Ridout’s Valley Chapel Funeral Home in Homewood on Tuesday evening from 5:30-7:00 PM. The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 25 at 10 AM at Trinity UMC. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Arthritis Foundation or Trinity UMC.
