Nell Harris Smith of Birmingham, AL was born on June 2, 1930 and passed away on April 12, 2024.
She was preceeded in death by her husband William "Bill" R. Smith. She is survived by her daughters Tracy (Tom) Harbuck and Carol (David) Ashbaugh. Her greatest joy on this earth was being Memaw to granddaughter Emily Harbuck, grandsons Alex Harbuck and Spenser (Ashley) Ashbaugh and great-grandson Cooper Ashbaugh.
A memorial service for Nell will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 beginning at 11:30 AM at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209, with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
