Nancy Bailey Horn

She is survived by her son, Glenn Mitcham (Kelley), granddaughter Lynn, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nancy was proceeded in death by her parents Ralph and Carolyn Bailey and two devoted sisters, Virginia Bailey Butler and Joan Bailey Steele.

She was a long time member of McElwain Baptist Church and worked as a checkout clerk at the Piggly Wiggly in Crestline Village where she was beloved by all who knew her. Nancy was an avid reader, but will always be remembered for wit and humor and the beautiful and intricate needlepoint, embroidery, crochet, and handmade quilts that she created.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 12/26/17 at 12:00pm with services at 1:00pm, Ridout Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL 35209. Graveside services will follow at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kitty Kat Haven and Rescue, 2113 Marlboro Street, Birmingham, AL, 35226.
