Marian Stephens Heatherly

Marian Stephens Heatherly, age 63, passed away from this earthly life August 8, 2017.She resided in Gadsden, Alabama with her family. She was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church in Gadsden. Marian’s passion and love of children was evident through her 20 plus years of teaching in church and private schools. She was a devoted wife, mother and “Sitty” (grandmother). Marian is survived by her loving husband, David, of 38 years; daughter, Amy Eidson and granddaughter, Lauryn Heatherly; siblings, Catherine Stewart, Floyd Stephens (Suzy), Greg Stephens (Debbie), Danny Stephens, Rita Callaway (James), Peggy Walsh (James), HeLiu; and many nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Cecilia Stephens and by Henderson and Catherine Heatherly, Butch Heatherly, Happy Heatherly and Todd Heatherly. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at 9:00 followed by a visitation at the church 9:30 – 11:00. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Jimmy Halle Missions, 3420 2nd Ave, Birmingham, Al 35222.
