Lynda and I were long time Kansas City family friends.  Our mothers often played bridge with one another.  And our parents square danced with each other in various groups.  Then Lynda and I were freshman roommates at Kansas University in 1958/1959.  We both pledged Kappa Alpha Theta.  But the following year Lynda, Tommie, and her parents moved to Birmingham.  Dick and Lynda came to Washington DC in the 90s and we four met for dinner in Old Town Alexandria.  That was the last time we were together with one another.   I often called Lynda to wish her a super birthday.  I’m sadden to  just now learn of her passing by calling the assisted living home and learning her phone was no longer in service.  It was through the internet and searching for an obituary on Lynda that I now know she has moved on to join Dick.  Shelley and Kelly were so dear and important to her.  Bless the family in their time of grief.  Penny Bryan
