She was born on November 15, 1968 in New Orleans, LA. She blessed the lives of everyone she met growing up living in Decatur, AL; Austell, GA; Albany, GA; and Conway, AR. She has lived and worked in the Birmingham area for over 30 years.
Her beautiful smile and infectious laugh could light up any room. But her kindness and the love she freely gave to her family, friends, coworkers, and so many who crossed her path will be so greatly missed. Lana will also be fondly remembered for her amazing cooking skills and willingness to help others in need.
She is survived by her son, Turner Pennington; her parents, Carolyn and Wayne Linderman; her sister, Laura Linderman Prater and brother-in-law, David Prater; her brother, Gary Linderman and sister-in-law, Rachel Linderman, and by niece, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held at Liberty Park Baptist Church located at 12001 Liberty Parkway, Vestavia, AL 35242 on Saturday, December 1, 2018 beginning at 11:00 a.m, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Southern Heritage.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Lana’s memory may be made to the counseling program at Cahaba Elementary, 301 Parkway Dr., Trussville, AL 35173. They will use this money to provide lunches, extra ice cream, clothing etc for any student in need. That's what00 Lana did every day at Cahaba.
