Katherine S. Bishop passed away peacefully on Friday, July 20, at the age of 88. She was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Bishop. She is survived by three sons, William T. Bishop, Jr. (Inga), Andrew A. Bishop (Suzan) and Michael W. Bishop (Patty); four grandchildren, Andrew A. Bishop (Stephanie), Emily B. Key (Chris), Stacy B. Kennamer (James) and Amy B. Spiehler (Steven); and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, at Ridout's Valley Chapel, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
