Jerry Durwin Edwards, Sr., age 88, passed away on October 22, 2023. He was born on February 12, 1935 to the late Joseph Arnold and Donley Everett Edwards.
Mr. Edwards served in the United States Air Force and retired from ACIPCO after 26 years. He then bought Jordan Machine Company in 1979, when he retired in 2010 he sold the shop to his employees.
Mr. Edwards was a Life Deacon at Mountain Brook Baptist Church and a member of Dotson Nelson Sunday school class. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Deacon's. He was a member of Lions Club, Rotary Club and he was a Mason. Mr. Edwards enjoyed helping children by being a volunteer and math tutor at Cornerstone School.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Weeks Edwards and his son Jerry Durwin Edwards, Jr. He is survived by his daughter Sharon Edwards Daniels, and grandchildren Jackson Walters and Isabel Daniels.
