Beloved husband, father, and son, James Victor Baskerville (Vic), of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, passed away in his home on October 24, 2015. Vic had a love for life like no other. He possessed a kind, gentle, and loving soul. He was truly loved by all who ever met him. He loved the Lord, his family and friends, Auburn football, and golf. We know he is now with his Heavenly Father. He grew up in Birmingham, AL where he graduated from Vestavia Hills High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Auburn University and received his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law. Before retiring, he enjoyed a career as a Trust Officer in the banking industry. Vic is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Clark Baskerville, his children from his first marriage to Rebecca N. Savage: daughters Elizabeth Baskerville Alford (John) of Helena, AL and Allison Baskerville Corbin (Jason) of Atlanta, GA, son John Taylor Baskerville of Birmingham, AL; mother Sara Jo Baskerville of Birmingham, AL; brother Robert Cooke Baskerville of Birmingham, AL. He loved and doted on his precious grandchildren who gave him so much joy, James and Silas Alford and Harper and Landon Corbin. He was welcomed into heaven by his father James E. Baskerville, Jr. and granddaughter Elise Alford. Visitation will be held October 28, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Ridout’s Valley Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015, at 10 am at Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church.
