James Edward Pearson age 75 of Homewood, AL passed from this life on October 19, 2020. He was born to Edward and Corrie Pearson on April 6, 1945 in Greenville, TN, he grew up in Kosciusko and Yazoo City, Mississippi. Mr. Pearson graduated from Samford University in 1966 which was the last year of Howard College and also received his MBA Degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1977.
Mr. Pearson worked at Kennedy Space Center, Florida and while there he participated in all of the manned Apollo launches, he also worked in in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and Birmingham. He also worked with the Learning Center, doing construction work, as voluntary staff, and teaching Social Studies and Science and he was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Pearson is survived by his wife Sue Jones Pearson, two sons David Pearson (Rena) and granddaughters Emma and Sarah of Atlanta, Georgia, Mark Pearson (Karen) of Birmingham, AL, and sister Betty Ketchum( Mrs. ET Ketchum ) of Yazoo, Mississippi.
A memorial service honoring the life of James Edward Pearson will be held Thursday, October 22,2020 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church at 2:00 PM.
