Henry Horton Little

Henry Horton Little, Jr died February 9, 2024, at the age of 87. He was born in Luverne, Alabama on May 28, 1936, to Judge Horton H. Little and Roberta H. Little. Henry graduated from Luverne High School and the University of Alabama, class of 1958, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

After graduating from college, he joined the U.S. Small Business Administration in Birmingham where he became Deputy Director for Alabama. He served at SBA with distinction for 38 years. Many in Alabama will testify that they owe the founding of their businesses and success to Mr. Little.

Henry was devoted to his family and widely respected. He enjoyed golf, Alabama football, music

and family gatherings.

Henry Little was a quintessential Southern gentleman, courteous, kind and generous.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Miriam (Mimi) Norville Little, his stepdaughter, Miriam Simmons Willis and two step granddaughters, Miriam Worthington Willis and Jane Perry Willis, whom he loved very much and his brother, Judge Lawson Little of Dothan.

A visitation for Henry will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209.
