Ezra B."Tim" Perry Jr.

Ezra B. Perry, Jr. (Tim), 67, passed away on December 31st, 2014. Tim was born on December 28, 1947 in Newton, Massachusetts to the late Dr. And Mrs. Ezra B. Perry, Sr. He graduated from Shades Valley High School and Auburn University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He graduated with honors from the University of Virginia School of Law. Upon graduation, Tim clerked for U.S. District Judge Robert Varner. He was a member of the Birmingham (Executive Committee 1983-1985) and American Bar Associations, The Alabama and Florida State Bars, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He was a founding member of the Auburn University Bar Association and the Academy of Attorney Mediators. Tim was a certified mediator and arbitrator. He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Richard) Knecht, her mother Ann McMahan, grandson Patrick Knecht, sister Elizabeth (Richard) Mills, and nephews Robert and Ben Mills. Tim is also survived by many dear cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL 35209. A memorial service will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
