Born in Bessemer, Alabama, January 15, 1921, she was the youngest of two sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James Alton Harden. She was a member of Mountain Brook Baptist Church for 60 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James C. Harden and Martha of Atlanta, grandchildren Karen L. Harden of Atlanta, James D. Harden and his wife, Heather, great grandchildren Samantha and J. Jackson Harden of Marietta, Georgia , and nephews Charles Cargile of Birmingham and Oliver Allred of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Ridout’s Valley Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM at Elmwood Cemetery.
