Elizabeth Barnett

Elizabeth Richardson Barnett, age 93 of Vestavia, passed away on March 25, 2018. She was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. Liz enjoyed her career with the telephone company and was known to say that “she was born in a telephone office” as her parents operated the Jasper office where she was born. She also served her country working at Red Stone Arsenal inspecting weapons.

Liz was preceded in death by her husband A. Lewis Barnett. She is survived by her son Scott Richardson Barnett (Adria); her daughter Cindy Nolan Barnett (Chuck), grandchildren: Lewis, Matt, Bob, Chelsea and Courtney; great grandchild CJ and by step-grandchildren: Jordan, Macee and Greyson.

The family will receive at Ridout’s Valley Chapel on Friday, March 30th beginning at 10am with a memorial service following at 11 am. Burial will be private for the family.
