David M. Ostrowski

Dr. David M. Ostrowski, age 68 of Homewood, passed away on September 25, 2016. David was born to Arnold and Florence Ostrowski on January 12, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a graduate of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy, The University of Michigan, and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery, as well as his orthopedic residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Ostrowski was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. His lifelong love was fitness, travel and photography.

Dr. Ostrowski was preceded in death by his parents and Susan Jayne Reese Ostrowski, the mother of his children. He is survived by his wife Cindy Ostrowski, daughters: Ashley Norred (Derek) and Amanda Maris Wimberly (Austin) , grandchildren: Max, Ty, Galina and Ivan Wimberly, Blake and Avery Norred and his brother Ralph Ostrowski (Carol).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 beginning at 10:30 with the memorial service following at 11:00 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Dr. Ostrowski may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School.
