Clara W. Tyler

Mrs. Clara Mae Woolverton Tyler, age 92, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020. She was born March 12, 1928, in Birmingham, Alabama. Clara was married to Robert Hagins Tyler for 74 years and from this union they had three children Betty Tyler Wooten, Shirley Tyler Singleton (Louie), and Edward Luther Tyler (Denise).

She was preceded in death by her mother Augusta Mae Schimmel Woolverton Benison.

Clara was a faithful member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church for many years. She graduated Woodlawn High School class of 1946. Clara enjoyed many years of monthly get togethers with her reunion group, the Holman Honeys, who had been friends since 1st grade. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Clara is survived by her husband, 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

A memorial service for family and friends will be scheduled for a later date.
