Claire Stallworth Booth

Claire Stallworth Booth was born March 18, 1927 in Mobile, Alabama and passed away in her home in Birmingham, Alabama on March 1, 2018. In 2014, shortly after her husband of 65 years passed away, Claire moved to Birmingham. She left her home, that she and Milton built together over 60 years, to be closer to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Claire was active in her church and community. She loved meeting new people, gardening and exercising at The Country Club of Mobile and then at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Birmingham.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Clifford Booth, son Milton Oliver Booth, Jr, daughter-in-law Paterson Brown Booth, grandchildren Katherine “Katie” Booth Brower (Matt), Milton Oliver “Trey” Booth, III (Bess) and her great grandchildren Ellen “Ellie” Claire Brower, Anne Paterson Brower and the soon- to- be born Milton Oliver Booth, IV.

The family would like to thank Huey Gardner for his support during her final days. A Memorial service will be held at St Mary’s - On - Highlands on Monday March 5, 2018 at 1:00 with a brief visitation at 12:15. A Scattering of the Ashes service will be held at St. Paul’s Memorial Garden in Mobile at a later date. Memorials can be sent to St. Mary’s – On – The - Highlands (Birmingham) or to St Paul’s Episcopal Church Memorial Garden (Mobile).
