Charles ‘Chuck’ Nolan age 67 passed away on December 7, 2024. Chuck was a proud husband, father, and grandfather (Poppy). Chuck is now resting in eternal peace with the sunshine of his life, his wife Cindy.
Chuck was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He spent his summers in Cordova with his grandparents. One of his favorite memories was fishing at the slough on the Warrior River with his big brother, John.
Chuck graduated from Vestavia Hills High School. Chuck met Cindy in while she was attending Auburn University. It was love at first sight and regardless of opposing football affiliations, they married in 1984. Chuck and Cindy were married for 37 years and only departed from one another when Cindy passed away in 2021.
Chuck was a gifted artist, finding his talent and passion for art at a young age. Chuck worked as Graphic Designer and ultimately co-owned and operated Professional Graphics Printing Company with his father-in-law, Lou. He later retired and spent the rest of his years dedicated to caring for his girls and years later, his grandson, CJ.
Chuck was a diehard Alabama football fan and could hardly hold back a tear when talking about Coach Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant. Chuck had a special way of connecting with others and made friends everywhere he went. To know him was to love him (and laugh)!
Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Nolan; his mother, Annie ‘Faye’ Rouss; his stepfather, Steve Rouss; and his mother-and father-in-law, Elizabeth and A. Lewis Barnett. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Chelsea Nolan and Courtney Nolan, his son-in-law, Michael, and his cherished grandson, CJ Nolan Seifert. He also leaves behind many dear family members and friends. We will all keep laughing and cuttin up in Chuck’s honor.
The family will receive friends at Ridout's Valley Chapel on Sunday, December 15th, beginning at 2:00 PM, a brief service will begin at 3:00 PM then a reception to honor Chuck’s life will follow. A graveside service for family and close friends will take place on Monday, December 16th, at 1:00 PM at Old Bennett Cemetery in Jasper, AL.
