Carole Anne Redus

Carole Anne Redus, 83, passed away in her home in Homewood, Alabama on June 18, 2022. Carole was the daughter of Henry Wood Redus and Anna Belle Catledge Redus. She was born September 25, 1938 in Columbus, Mississippi.

Carole’s father died in 1942. She lived in Columbus, Mississippi with her mother and maternal grandmother, Martha Winston Files Catledge. In 1956 she moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she began work as a commercial artist at Southern Bell. She retired in 1994.

Carole enjoyed her home in Homewood, her various cats throughout the years, and her collection of memorabilia regarding the actor, James Dean.

Carole is survived by cousins in Mississippi, Indiana, and Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and many friends.

Carole was laid to rest next to her mother in a mausoleum at Elmwood Cemetery. Services were performed by Ridout’s Valley Chapel Funeral Home in Homewood.
