Carol B. Lewis

Carol is preceded in death by her husband Berry “Bo” Lewis, her sister Evelyn Shaffer, her nephews Charles Shaffer and James Shaffer.

She is survived by her four children: Oddie Lewis, Lloyd Lewis, Rebecca Lewis and Kelli Lewis Dailey and her 5 grandchildren: Nicolas Lewis, Ashley Lewis, Spencer Dailey, Lillie Lewis and Scarlett Dailey.

She is also survived by her 2 sisters Mitizy Kelly and Susie Allen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was a graduate of St Vincent’s Nursing School in 1960. She went on to work as a registered nurse for 45 years. Over her long nursing career she worked at St Vincent’s and UAB in many different areas including med surg and critical care. When she retired from UAB she had been an OR scrub nurse/circulator for the plastic surgery and trauma surgical teams. Carol was an extremely dedicated and proud nurse.

The family invites friends to a visitation Monday, December 19th at 9:00AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, followed by Christian funeral mass at 10:00AM with interment in columbarium.
