Candace Brandino "Candy" Tucker passed away on May 31, 2024, and is now at peace. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on June 5 th , 1946. She was the loving wife, companion, and best friend to her husband, Les Tucker, Jr., for almost 60 years.
Candy loved Alabama football and the occasional trip to a casino. She loved big and was generous with her affection to her family, friends, and especially to her husband. Candy’s life represented southern hospitality, genteel manners, (unless watching her Bama team play), loyalty, and devotion. Candy laughed and enjoyed being Les’ "sidekick".
She read voraciously, collected and decorated beautifully, and dressed fashionably. Her affinity for beautiful jewelry and purses rivaled all others. Candy liked jelly beans, circus peanut candy, Grapicos, seafood, and hot dogs. She listened to Mac Davis and Elvis music, and danced passionately with her Les. She loved cruising and traveled to many Alabama football games. She set a high bar for being a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and aunt. She will be greatly missed.
Candy was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Marie Brandino, she is also survived by her brother Sammy Ray Brandino, nieces Elizabeth Cole and Kate Brandino, and nephews Eric Brandino and Jack Love, along with many other great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Associated would be greatly appreciated.
