Betty Jane Tanquary Sanders died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Robyn Kaylor. She was 88 years old. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Ann (Grabin) Tanquary, husband Robert Knox Sanders and great granddaughter Hannah Lynn. Born October 4, 1924, she attended Phillips High School and the University of Alabama, and worked for many years for State Farm Insurance. She learned Spanish in her 70’s and enjoyed her church, aerobics swim class, and playing bridge.
