Daddy.
Its been almost 9 years. I can't tell you how much I miss you Mom and Aunt Kathy live with me now and they are losing their minds. sometimes I feel like I'm not equipped to deal with some of it, but then I remember that there are things in life that you don't have a choice About.  You may be the only person  to take responsibility for those you care for.  I also remember how crazy I was when I was a kid , how much I needed other people to be understanding, or  loving when I was out of my mind .  I am so grateful for you Dad, and Rhonda for the stability ,decency that I was shown. 
  Otherwise I don't think I'd be able to withstand This Storm .  There are so many moments that I wish I could give you a phone call , to tell you how much I need your wisdom and simple common sense.... things you used to impart so easily.   I hear those words. Those quips. Those jokes... A lot these days within my subconscious. Its not odd to me . because that's what we do for our children . we give them our love and wisdom via our experiences and what we learn from others we respect.  So  they may use it and can pass it along. I get really afraid sometimes and I don't make very good decisions. but i also know I was made for something  great. To help others along a confused and broken road.  Otherwise why would I be so strong ? I want to hang onto the values and the goidness youve instilled in me. I can and will . I waited a long time to clean up, i have waited a long time to find my place in this world. Its time i embark on my great journey.  I'm going to carry you with me on the back of every Kawasaki Yamaha or honda cbr i ride . on the wings of angels in the form  every of every recovering addict and alcoholic you've ever reached ,  or been a part of their lives in a positive way.  Im going to make a a difference in this world for you for uncle Randy and for for all the families that don'get second chances. I love you and I miss you and I can't wait to finally make you proud. 

Rhonda, I just returned from Africa to read this news. I am so sorry for your loss. You and Jay were good for each other. This is another chance for you to trust the Lord.

I will always remember "daddy's special eggs"  ,riding on the back of your motorcycles,  brewers yeast on popcorn  and all the good advice I didn't quite understand at the time. Jay-you touched our lives with joy.  Thank you!  We love you and we miss you!

Rhonda- We are so very sorry that Jay has gone on ahead.  Our hearts are aching for you.  I have no doubt, though,  that the Blue Angel Jet that was flying higher than you have ever seen before, did in fact have an extra heavenly pilot on board. Jay was in there with the pilot, whispering in his ear, egging him on to fly higher and higher!    Thank God for the promise of heaven. We are looking forward to seeing him again, in perfect health.   We love you and are praying for you all.

Jay, I will always remember fondly your crazy sense of humor and the image of you standing by the lake with your fishing pole.  A wonderful sense of humor and an incredible love of the outdoors is a beautiful legacy to leave behind.  We will come visit you in the Everglades!

Jay's mighty spirit will live in all of us and we will always think of him with a smile! Larry and I were saying tonight that we could just hear Jay exalting over the election!! Jay was a fighter and he would want you to keep on fighting, and we are here to back you up with love.

Rhonda, We didn't know Jay well, but I saw how he made your face light up every time you talked about him. Hold tight to all those great memories! Love you, Karla & Jim Burke

Jay - may your Spirit forever dwell on the beautiful and mysterious waters of the swamps and bayous of Lousianna and Florida.  Love you brother.

We miss him too, Rhonda. He was the Beach Family fun guy. The first time you brought him with you, we all fell in love with him too. He belonged immediately. It's so sad that he's gone. Call or visit whenever you want. We will do whatever we can for you. Don't hesitate to tell us what you need. We love you!

God just added another Angel to his kingdom.

Dear Rhonda,
How blessed I am to have known Jay and to have been with you both during his final hours. I have many fond memories of the time he took me out in the Kayak  down on the Keys or the times we all were together in Tallahassee.  Edith and June loved him too and I know that they will take care of him.  He has run ahead and there is peace in my heart knowing that someday we will catch up and all be together again.
