Dear Joel, You truly were the best best friend that I could've ever asked for. You were my brother from another mother, always there for me when I needed you and helping me out in any way that you could. I'm really gonna miss being able to just call you so we can play videogames as we talk about the most random stuff and just laugh together like we always did. You always brought so much joy to my life with just being your loving goofy self and I'm really gonna miss that about you. I'm gonna really miss you man. But just know that you'll always have a special place in my heart.

Joel, I was saddened to hear that you passed away, I couldn’t believe it.. it’s been some time since I last seen you but that’s why I’ll forever be grateful for the fun times I did spend with you, car rides to school, sleep overs, going outside to play, etc. I will always cherish those memories.. My Dear Joel 
 I will never forget that smile  that laugh is unforgettable . That day of your graduation how happy you were and those plans on your future had me so proud of you. I will miss you knocking on my door walking in straight to Josh room… RIP MY BOY!!!!!

I can’t pick my favorite memory I have of him because every moment with him was my favorite. I remember in freshman year chasing him down to play 8ball, sophomore year always making jokes about cats, junior year being the best friends we were in 9th grade, and senior year finally taking the leap of faith to show our love for each other. The first time we hung out was actually this year; at the library nook in my community, we had sat and talked for hours. We talked about every thing we could;  his love for bikes, my cat, his family, and our dreams. Every moment I spent with my Joel was a moment I wish I could grasp onto longer.
