Jean Barbara Decker was born on January 10,1928 in Somerville, MA and took her last stroll along Fort Lauderdale Beach on the morning of May 28, 2022. She was the youngest and the last of 4 children from the Trodella family to leave us. She had five grandchildren and 2 great-grand children. She was predeceased by her father Pelligrino Trodella and her mother Mary Trodella, daughter Marilyn Decker, brother Dr. George Trodella, sister Phyllis Fava, and twin-sister Julie Covino. She is survived by her eldest daughter Laura Surette, son William Jean and wife Sandra Surette as well as Aimee Mattingly her husband David and son Bodhi Mattingly. She is survived by her daughter Gail Demore, her sons Brian Demore, Christopher Demore along with daughter Angelina Demore, and Aaron Demore.Per Jeans personal request, we encourage bright, happy colors for her day.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, at 718 S. Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 on June 4th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A prayer service will be held at 3:00pm.
