BYRD, Christopher David, 18, of Cooper City passed away November 7, 2009. Born September 10, 1991, Chris was in his freshman year at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL where he was persuing an engineering degree. He was a 2009 graduate of Cooper City High School where he was the district wrestling champion for two consecutive years, Homecoming King, and maintained a GPA of 4.6. Chris was loved by all who came to know him. Survivors include his parents John and Carolyn Ofiara; brothers, Cory Byrd and Matthew Lent; Grandparents, Al and Jean Peters, John and Sandy Ofiara and Ora Lee and Russ Konrad; Aunt, Cindy (Mark) Janszen; Uncles, David (Patricia) and Robert Young; cousins, Cody Berger, Hunter Janszen, and Ashley Young. Visitation will be Friday, November 13, 3:00-4:00pm at Christ The Rock Church 11000 Stirling Road Cooper City, FL, followed by a funeral service at 4:00pm.
