Amelia (Jaap) "Sue" Harper, 71 of Pembroke Pines, Florida, formerly of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Five Star Premier Residences of Hollywood, following declining health.
Born In Canonsburg, Pennsylvania on August 30, 1946, daughter of Robert and Amelia (Hochkraut) Jaap. Sue and her family moved to South Florida where she graduated from McArthur High School, class of 1964. At the age of 17, Sue went to work for Southern Bell (BellSouth), where she worked for 30 years before her retirement in 1992. Following her retirement Sue became an active member and volunteer of BellSouth Pioneers.
Survived by her two brothers, Charles Jaap and Robert (Barbara) Jaap, nephews and nieces, David and Sandra Price, Brian and Caren Price and Timothy and Gayle Price along with several great nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harper in 2002, sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Price, Mary Porter and brother, Walter Jaap.
Visitation on Tuesday, May 29th from 6:00 ~ 8:00 P.M. at Fred Hunters Hollywood Memorial Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Funeral Service to be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, North.
