Agatha also known as (AKA) Aggie was born in Trinidad and Tobago on January 25th 1923, the loving daughter of Catharine Beatrice and Ceryl Benoit. She lived in Maryland, Brooklyn and the Bronx NY.
Agatha/Aggie entrusted her life to Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a praying sole for those who knew her. She had an unshakable faith in God. She was a great Monarch to the family and loved greatly by both friends and family alike. She loved to travel, attend church, and would help and offer to pray for everyone. She would say it's nothing to offer someone some food, so she would go to downtown Miami and feed the homeless.
For those of you that really knew her, you knew how she loved to dress and look her very best. I used to tell her she was boogey, even as a little girl her daughter remembered telling her teacher that her mom would spend hours of time in the mirror putting on her makeup. She was known for making grand entrances at her senior club, she made everyone laugh. That is the kind of person she was. Her last words of solace was "When you cease to pray you cease to Fight" She was to her daughter the World's Greatest Mother and she feels like she's missing part of her... she said she keeps thinking her mom will come to her room door and ask "Where are you"!!!
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Bernadette Ragland and Sister Elizabeth York. Her daughter was her sole caregiver during her time of illness and before. They shared fond memories of visiting Disney world and Universal Studios riding it's a small world, King Kong and the ET rides. They were best friends not just mother and daughter. Agatha/Aggie or Tanty to family will be missed greatly by everyone all of her Nieces, Nephews and friends alike.
