Bill was 68 years old.
Bill was born on August 10, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio and was a 1964 graduate of Rogers High School. Bill met the love of his life, Nancy on Valentine’s Day in 1970 and they enjoyed 41 wonderful years of marriage. Bill was a hard-working, prideful owner of his family’s automotive repair business. Hasty’s Complete Auto. Where he began working at the young age of 14. In addition to his love for fishing in his backyard and Corvettes, Bill took advantage of every opportunity to make people laugh. He had an unforgettable gruff voice that his family adored, and he was never caught without a handkerchief, which he often used
to tease the grandkids (“Mr. Hanky”).
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Hasty, and brother, Jack Hasty.
Bill is survived by his caring mother, Dorothy (Doxsee) Hasty; his devoted wife, Nancy (Fenter) Hasty; his three children, Shellie, Todd (Amanda), and Scott (Nicole) Hasty; grandchildren, J.R., Mia, Brynn, and Nolan; sister, Sandy Hasty; brother, Bob (Deb) Hasty;
and many nieces and nephews.
The family with receive guests at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Oh (419-865-8879) on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. followed by an funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 6800 West Central Avenue, Suite D1, Toledo, OH 43617.
The family would like to give special thanks to Bill’s long-time family physician, Dr. Donald Vogel, who provided great care to Bill throughout his life.
