Donald B. Gould, 86, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, formerly from Crissey, Ohio, passed away on October 10, 2012 at Regency Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on April 11, 1926 to Walter L. and Vera S. (Bates) Gould. He married Ruth M. Dunlap on March 9, 1946 in Toledo, Ohio.
Don proudly served our country in the Navy, where he was present at the landing of Normandy. After serving his country he worked as a Journeyman Electrician for over 30 years before retiring in 1988. He was a Charter Member of the Springfield Township #2 Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for 20 years. Don enjoyed working with wood and fishing. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also an avid Tigers’ Fan.
Don is survived by his loving daughters, Donna B. (John) Nelson and JoAnn M. Cole; grandchildren, Marla (Tom) Ferguson, Corey (Nick) Haas, Marcus (Tony) Boni-Truscello, Brian Nelson, Amy (Abe) Graham, Heather (Justin) Grochowski, Shayne Cole and Caleb Cole; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, Jaxon, Chace and Dylan; sister, Margaret Patton; sister-in-law, Pearl Neuhaus and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Walter L. Gould Jr.
Friends will be received on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH, 43528, 419-865-8879 where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider The Harry E. Patton Scholarship Fund.
