Wayne Alan Busscher

Wayne Alan Busscher left this earth very unexpectedly on Monday, October 14th, 2024 at the age of 72 and is now in the presence of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, for eternity. He joins his father, Kenneth Busscher, his wife’s parents, Glenn and Julie Ten Brink, and his great niece, Grace Kennedy Busscher. Wayne will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 50 years, Valerie Busscher, and their children, Ryan and Erin Busscher, Pamela and Ryan VanderMolen, and Kelly and Dave Morren as well as his 7 grandchildren who brought him enormous joy for the last 22 years: Nicole, Allison, Melanie, Megan, Tamber, Bryce and Maddax. He will also be missed and fondly remembered by his mother, Wilma Busscher, and his 6 siblings and their spouses: Larry and Peggy Busscher, Jack and Luanne Busscher, Nancy and Norm Hoekstra, Kel and Kim Busscher, Rita and Jeff Austhof, and Mark and Ruth Busscher, and Valerie’s siblings, Randy Ten Brink and Amy and Ray Ingram and many nieces and nephews. His family already misses Wayne’s calm presence, humor, and selflessness. He would always show up and help in any way he could and we will miss his willingness to care for all of us no matter the circumstances. Wayne was very full of life and pleasant to be around. His family will honor his life by the example Wayne set for us found in Micah 6:8b – “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God (ESV).” Though he is no longer with us physically, he will always be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers Wayne’s family would like you to consider a gift to the building projects at either Borculo Christian School or Allendale Christian School where Wayne has grandchildren attending.

A visitation for Wayne will be held on Sunday, October 20 from 2-4 PM at Lakeshore Memorial Services - 11939 James St. Holland, 49424. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 21 at 11 AM at Lighthouse Community Church - 7624 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, 49401 followed by a lunch. A graveside service will follow.
